Drier for most and mild too, western low cloud and drizzle

Higher pressure is going to be building over the coming days. This is going to bring drier weather for many. Western coasts and hills troubled by low cloud and drizzle, although more persistent rain may affect the far northwest of Scotland at times. tending to stay mild and dry into next week.

Friday 22/3/19
The cloudy southwest flow persists over the UK and Ireland on Friday. Cloud and periods of showery rain affecting Ireland, heavier rain in the northwest of Scotland. Lower cloud and some drizzle over western coasts of England and Wales. Drier to the east and south with some bright or sunny spells breaking through. Southern coasts may have low cloud through the day. Highs at 19C in the sunshine in the southeast, 8C in northwest Scotland.

Saturday 23/3/19
A front through southern Ireland, Wales and northern England on Saturday bringing some patchy periods of rain. Pressure is generally high and so much of southern England and Wales will be dry with sunny spells and mild. Cooler and brighter in Scotland, heavy showers in the northwest. Highs at 7C in northwest Scotland, 19C in southern England.
 

Sunday 24/3/19
High pressure builds over the country on Sunday. This should bring a fair day with broken cloud and some sunny spells although slightly cooler. Cloud, rain and stronger winds affecting the far north of Scotland. Highs at 16C in the south and east, 6C in northern Scotland.
 

Monday 25/3/19
Pressure is likely to be staying high on Monday. This should bring a fair day with sunny spells for most. Some broken cloud in the east. Temperatures at 9 to 14C.

Tuesday 26/3/19
High pressure remains on Tuesday. This should bring a fair day again with good spells of sunshine, the best of them to the west. Highs at 11 to 16C.

Wednesday 27/3/19
Pressure stays high on Wednesday. The day should be dry with sunny spells although some morning mist and fog patches. Tops at 11 to 17C.
