A cold and dry start to the week is followed by mixed conditions and milder temperatures from mid-week

A cold and dry start to the week for many as high pressure builds across the country. Through the mid-week period low pressure returns re-introducing outbreaks of rain, showers and strong winds at times along with milder temperatures.

Wednesday 20/11/19
Pressure stays low to the west on Wednesday and is likely to be centred just southwest of Ireland. This brings further periods of rain, some of it heavy, to southern and western areas. Drier to the north and east with just occasional showers here. Windy too to the south and west with highs ranging from 3 to 9C.

Thursday 21/11/19
Low pressure remains close by to the southwest bringing another unsettled day for many. There will be rain, showers and strong winds for many. Most rain over England, Wales and eastern Ireland. Drier and brighter to the far northeast. High temperatures at 5 to 10C.
 

Friday 22/11/19
Another unsettled day with low pressure in control. Further showers and outbreaks of rain. Rain focussed over eastern areas. Drier and brighter to the north and west with high temperatures at 6 to 10C.

 
 
 

Saturday 23/11/19
A slack pressure gradient on Saturday leads to a cloudy, misty day. Drizzle affecting coastal areas. Best of the sun to the east and north. Cloud builds and winds increase from the west later. High temperatures at 6 to 11C.

Sunday 24/11/19
Sunday starts dry and bright for England and Scotland. Rain spreads across Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England and southern Scotland through the day. Staying dry for northern Scotland and southeastern England. Highs at 5 to 12C.

Monday 25/11/19
Low pressure send further bands of rain across Ireland and the UK on Monday. Scattered showers and sunny spells follow later from the west. Breezy to the south and east. High temperatures at 7 to 14C.
