Rain and drizzle north and west, drier and cloud in the east and south

A mild day ahead with a southwest flow bringing plenty of cloud through much of England and Wales. Patchy drizzle over western coasts of England and Wales. Some brighter spells in the east. Rain affects Scotland and Ireland, this heavy in the west.

This afternoon sees rain in much of western and southern Scotland. Drizzly over western England and Wales as wel as eastern Ireland. Plenty of mist and low cloud here. Generally dry in central and eastern parts of England and Wales, but some low cloud on hills. Mild over much of England and Wales as well as eastern Scotland, but turning cooler in the west and across Ireland.

Tonight becomes murky and misty for much of England and Wales. Most persistent rain and drizzle in northern England and Wales, with some heavier rain in southwest England. More central and eastern areas will be misty and murky. Drier in Scotland and Ireland, some showers in western Scotland.
