Damp in the west but mostly dry to the east with a few bright spells
Periods of rain across Wales in Southwest England this morning with plenty of hill fog and mist. The rain probably fades through the morning and into the afternoon, becoming more drizzly and tending to mostly affect the hills. Some spots of drizzle in central and eastern areas but this will ease and there may even be a few bright spells for this afternoon here.
Central and eastern Scotland are likely to be dry at first, but rain in the west will be turning up assistant into this afternoon. Island may see some rain in the east at first, but this will clear to leave dry weather for a time ahead of more rain arriving this afternoon.
It's then a damp night for most with an area of rain passing eastwards through the country. However, all of the rain and cloud will prevent a frost from forming.
