Cool north and west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 25th November 2020
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Misty, drizzle central and eastern areas, brighter and cooler north and west, then a frost tonight

Misty and murky with outbreaks of rain across parts of northern England, the Midlands and southern England this morning, feeling ever colder in the west, too. A drier strat in East Anglia and the southeast, but turning more damp here this afternoon, the rain only light. Cooler and brighter weather following into Scotland and Ireland, some showers in the north and west.

This afternoon sees the cooler air moving into northern England and Wales, as well as western parts of the Midlands and southwest England. Staying damp in the eastern Midlands and East Anglia as well as southeast England. Staying fair in much of Scotland and Ireland with some showers in the north and west.

Get ready for a widespread frost overnight tonight, together with some fog in sheltered areas, The far southeast may stay cloudy with some rain.
