Turning more mixed and cooler

The weather is set to stay mixed through this week before turning a little more unsettled next week, cooler too. Becoming showery through the weekend and into next week. It may be windy at times as well.

Thursday 23/9/21
A front moving south through Scotland will be bringing some outbreaks of rain through the day on Thursday. The rain moves into Northern Ireland and eventually the far north of England. Broken cloud and some sunny spells as well as drier weather for England and Wales. Milder here. It should become brighter in northwest Scotland later with showers. Feeling cooler in the cloudier areas. Highs at 10 to 15C in the cloud, 20C in southern England.

Friday 24/9/21
A cold front moves into northern England and southern Ireland on Friday. This brings cloud and some outbreaks of showery rain with it. More persistent rain in the north and west of Scotland. fair in England and Wales with broken cloud and some bright spells, the best in central and eastern areas. Highs at 15 to 21C.
 

Saturday 25/9/21
A west to southwest flow on Saturday with higher pressure to the south and lower pressure to the northwest. Some outbreaks of rain in the west and north, but these should only be light. Some bright spells in eastern and southern areas. Highs at 14C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.

Sunday 26/9/21
Low pressure to the north with a cold front slipping south bringing some cloud and outbreaks of rain, these reaching Northern Ireland. A few showers in the south of England, sunny spells too. Highs at 17C in southern England, 11C in Scotland and feeling cooler in Ireland and northern England.

Monday 27/9/21
Low pressure dominates through Monday. This brings showers into many northern and western areas. Brighter in the east and south with some bright or sunny spells. Breezy. Highs at 12 to 17C.

Tuesday 28/9/21
A mixed day again with showers for many. Most of the showers will be in the north and west. The showers in the east should be well scattered. Highs near 11 to 16C.
