Morning Call - June 19, 2022
Cooler, fresher for all
Heavier showers in far south

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 19th June 2022
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

A fresher day for all and largely dry and fine though heavier showers in the far south

In the morning, a few heavier, perhaps thundery, showers threatening the far southern English counties, mainly through the Channel islands, while elsewhere looks to be largely dry and fine. A strengthened wind across the north is likely to push some showers through northern Scotland.

The afternoon stays largely dry but a few scattered showers do continue to push through the far north and northeast of Scotland as well as some showers clipping the southwestern English counties and the Channel islands.

Overnight, pressure builds which will die off showers further north and allow for dry weather here. Clear spells for a time before cloud looks to thicken across north and west Scotland. A risk of showers continues through the evening further south but these too should soon push away.
