Less cooler by the weekend with mixed conditions and rain at times

A mixed week and one that will be generally chilly. Lower pressure will be bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain with it although not particularly large amounts. Tending to turn less cool at the end of the week although increasingly misty and murky for many.

Thursday 22/11/18
An area of low pressure remains over the northern Bay of Biscay on Thursday while a ridge of high pressure extends east-west to the north of Scotland. This mains the easterly flow for much of the country. It will remain cloudy but it will be drier than Wednesday with rain across eastern Scotland and the coasts of northeastern England as well as the far southwest of Ireland. The best of the brighter weather will be in the far west of the British Isles. High temperatures will reach around 6 to 9C.


Friday 23/11/18
The weak low remains over the Bay of Biscay on Friday while the high pressure to the north shifts its centre over Iceland. This maintains a southeasterly for much of the UK and Ireland making for a milder day. Rain in central and northern Scotland with a further area of rain arriving in southern Ireland, south Wales and southwest England. Highs of 7 to 12C.

 


Saturday 24/11/18
Low pressure to the south of the UK on Saturday with the high pressure remains to the north. The flow becomes more east ot northeasterly. Cloud and spots of rain affecting eastern coasts of Scotland and England, but the main area of rain may be along southern counties on England. More western areas tending to be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Feeling chilly again at 7 to 10C.


Sunday 25/11/18
An area of low pressure may affect the south of the UK through Sunday. This may bring cloud and outbreaks of rain to many. Better in western Scotland and Ireland with some brighter spells here. Highs at 7 to 10C.


Monday 26/11/18
Pressure stays low over England and Wales. Cloud and some spots of rain are likely, most in central and eastern areas. Mist and murky conditions for many. Tending to be brighter in Ireland and western parts of Scotland. Highs at 6 to 9C.

Tuesday 27/11/18
Mist and fog patches may linger for some time on Tuesday with higher pressure remaining to the east. Lower pressure west of Ireland allows for drizzle here. Highs at 8 to 11C.
