Morning Call - November 26, 2021
Cold with wind chill
Rain to snow in north

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 26th November 2021
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Rain increasingly turning to snow across north and northeast Scotland moving south overnight.

Patchy rain through parts of England and Wales in the morning clearing southwards. Brighter further north and west with showers, these wintry, with snow falling over higher ground. A strengthened wind, particularly in the west where wind chill is a big factor.

This afternoon, showers continue to push through, particularly closer to the coasts but plenty of dry conditions to be had and sunny spells about. Rain will increasingly turn to sleet and snow, even to lower ground, across north and northeast Scotland later in the day. Staying windy for many.

Rain, sleet and snow will push southwards down the country overnight with then eastern coasts seeing a mix of precipitation come the start of Saturday. Snow showers across north Scotland and down coasts for many but plenty of dry weather with clear skies elsewhere. Staying windy with strong to gale force stregnths further north and west.
