Issued: 0530hrs Friday 20th November 2020 Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus
Rain pushing eastwards with winds strengthening yet a milder day than yesterday.
In the morning, a warm front will pass east through Ireland and the UK bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain. More persistent rain affecting northwest England and western Scotland, heaviest here too, mainly during the morning. The southeast corner of England, however, should remain dry.
During the afternoon, there will be some lingering patchy rain, mainly light, though it will become drier for most by evening. Winds progressively strengthening particularly further north. Tending to become milder too through the day after a cool start.
Overnight, a cold front will sweep across Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and into northern England by dawn. Drier further south. A windy night, particularly so across northern Scotland and the Northern Isles. Generally mild but temperatures do drop more towards dawn.
