Cloud increasing, some showers in the west

Good morning,

Fair early on this morning and windy again in central nd northern Scotland. Best of the sunshine in the east and dry for most areas too. Cloud is already increasing over Ireland and western coasts of the UK and that increase in cloud will be a feature of the day. Plenty of cloud for many through this morning and afternoon and this will be developing showers across Ireland, Scotland and the far northwest of England this afternoon. The far north of Scotland may stay a little brighter with the winds easing off here.

Tonight sees winds picking up into Ireland with showery rain here, this then spreading eastwards into the later part of the night. Eastern and southern England staying dry.
