Tuesday
A ridge of high pressure builds over most of the UK on Tuesday. Largely cloudy in the morning, but the sunshine becoming stronger during the day across much of England and Wales. A front approaching northwest Scotland and western Ireland will be bringing rain here, this turning more persistent by the evening. Winds will strengthen too. Staying fair elsewhere with some sunny spells and dry. Slightly fresher than of late across southern England with highs here at 25C, 22C in Ireland, 15C in northern Scotland.


Tuesday Night
A band of rain will push eastwards and affect the rest of Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as push across much of Scotland. Clear spells developing behind but also some showers. Staying dry elsewhere. Becoming cloudy across west Wales and northern England but clear spells further south and east. Lows 8 to 15C.
 


Wednesday
Largely cloudy with some patchy rain pushing through southern Scotland, eastern Ireland and eastern regions of Northern Ireland on Wednesday morning. Brighter, fresher weather follows into western Ireland and northwest Scotland during the day but with some showers about. Sunny spells and dry for most of England and much of Wales, the best sunshine in the east. Feeling increasingly muggy in England and Wales too as cloud increases in the west and south. An area of thundery rain will be reaching southern England later afternoon and then spreading north through the evening and overnight. Highs could reach 30C in southeast England, widely 24 to 27C, but a much fresher 16 to 18C in Scotland, Ireland, northwest England and west Wales.


Thursday
High pressure to the west of Ireland while low pressure over the eastern parts of England on Thursday. This brings a muggy, damp day with thundery outbreaks of rain across eastern areas of England, mainly towards the southeast. Misty and murky in places too. Ireland and western areas of England, Wales and Scotland will be fresher and brighter but with a risk of scattered showers. Highs at 23C in the far southeast of England, more widely 14 to 18C.
