Morning Call - April 23, 2019
Breezy but bright in the northeast
Showers in the southwest

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 23rd April 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Cloud will build from the southwest through the day with showers for the southwest later which may be heavy and thundery. Drier and brighter but breezy in the northeast.

Good morning,

It will be a mild start to the day for most with temperatures in some parts of England and Wales not dropping below 10C overnight. There will be some showers around first thing for Ireland but elsewhere it should be dry with some good sunny spells and broken cloud around.

Showers will continue for Ireland through the morning and cloud will start to build over southwestern parts of the UK. Drier and bright in the northeast but breezy here too. High temperatures will be limited to 11 to 13C on eastern coasts, more widely reaching 17 to 22C.

Cloud will continue to build over the southwest through the afternoon leading to some heavy, perhaps thundery, downpours over the West Country, Wales and Ireland which may persist into the evening.

Have a great day!
Claire
