A milder day on Tuesday with a Southwest wind bringing plenty of cloud across all parts of the country. It should be mostly dry across much of England and eastern Wales, although there will be some drizzle affecting western coast of England and western Wales. More persistent rain lying through Scotland and the north and east of Ireland, this heavy at times. Turning drier in the far west of Scotland and western Ireland later. Highs at 7 to 9C in western Ireland and western Scotland, 10 to 12C over most of England and Wales.

Tuesday night
Rain slips into northern England and Wales as well as Southwest England overnight. The rain will become more moderate later in the night across Southwest England. Lots of mist and murk around three much of England and Wales. Some clear skies across Scotland and Ireland although there will be some showers affecting western Scotland. Lows at 2C n Scotland and Ireland, 8C in much of England and Wales.

Wednesday
A front brings rain across much of England and Wales on Wednesday. Most of the rain through Southwest England, Wales and the Midlands. Probably dry for East Anglia and the south-east although plenty of mist and some fog patches here, but also one or two brighter spells. Cold weather reaches Scotland and Ireland, this eventually moving into northern England. Showers in northern and western Scotland, drier in the east. Highs near 6 to 8C for much of the north and west, but 12C in southern and southeastern areas.

Thursday
A ridge of high pressure through the UK and Ireland on Thursday. A morning frost in sheltered areas. There may be morning mist and fog which could be slow to clear. Where it does there will be broken cloud and a few bright or sunny spells, although amounts of sunshine are uncertain at present. There may be some cloud in the far southeast of England, perhaps with some drizzle here. Highs at just 4 or 5C in Scotland, 10C in southeast England, widely 6 to 8C.
