High pressure for a time to start June but then more mixed later.

We continue with a mixed weather set-up through this week, but bank holiday weekend could be largely dry and sunny if high pressure continues to ridge in. Through that first week of June the high looks to stay put allowing for a largely dry and warm start to the week, possibly with a thundery breakdown later. A more mixed scenario towards the middle part of June but with signs of a weak ridge developing again during week 4.

*24/5/21 - 30/5/21*
Low pressure in east, higher pressure in west.
Weak high pressure trying to build in from the west.
Showers prevalent in the east in particular.
Possible rain pushing across the country later in the week.
High pressure building during the weekend.
Possible ground frost initially. Some warmer days later.

*31/5/21 - 6/6/21*
The ridge becoming in-situ during this week.
Generally dry and perhaps warm, particularly to start.
A general slip to more mixed conditions with showers later in the week.
Always the risk of some thundery showers in the southeast.

*7/6/21 - 13/6/21*
Ridge could be maintained across the south and southeast.
Trough emphasised more elsewhere.
Showers or even longer spells of rain further north.
Temperatures around average for the time of year.
Possibly cooler at times further north and west where it is more mixed.

*14/6/21 - 20/6/21*
Weak ridge across the country but possibly more so further west.
Drier conditions overall further west with some showers further east.
Better conditions generally compared to previous week.
Again, close to average temperatures for the time of year.
