Higher pressure looking to bring more settled conditions for a time into June.

Signs of higher pressure trying to ridge across the UK and Ireland as we go through the last week of May and into June. This will bring drier and warmer conditions to many. The first part of June generally looks to be a more settled time relative to May, although there is the risk of some thundery breakdowns. Temperatures around what they should be for the time of year and higher than avergae at times.

*22/5/21 - 28/5/21*
Trough moves to the east.
Signs of weak ridge of high pressure building from west.
Early showers may give way to several days of drier, sunnier weather later in the week.
Possibly becoming warm for a time.
Best sunshine in west, then transferring east.

*29/5/21 - 4/6/21*
The ridge is likely to be in-situ for a time.
Generally dry and perhaps warm to start.
A general slip to showered weather later in the week.
Always the risk of some thundery showers in the Southeast.

*5/6/21 - 11/6/21*
Ridge appears to be maintained in the south.
Probably staying fair here, sunny spells.
Showers further north, some heavy.
Milder for all.

*12/6/21 - 18/6/21*
Ridge slips away for a time bringing showers.
It may be that pressure builds again towards the end of the week.
Better conditions developing with sunny spells.
Mostly dry.
Warmer.
