Unsettled mid-month and cool, perhaps milder later
Cool spells of weather in the month ahead. There will be some rain an unsettled weather in central areas into the middle of the month. Tending to be drier in the north. A hint of Christmas being cool and frost, before turning milder to end the year.
*30/121/20 - 6/12/20* High pressure to north. Lower pressure to the south. Dry and cool for many.
*7/12/20 - 13/12/20* Lower pressure to the south. Cold, rain and showers to south, risk wintry precipitation. May be milder in far south. Drier north, some cloud east.
*14/12/20 - 20/12/20* A cool week. Low pressure remains south. Rain south, risk wintry weather on hills. Less rain Scotland, especially west, mostly dry here.
*21/12/20 - 27/12/20* Pressure builds. Drier for most. Cool start, frosty. Milder later.
*28/12/20 to 03/1/21* More unsettled Ireland, western and southern UK. Turning milder in many areas. Drier Scotland.
