Issued: Friday 1st January 2021 Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling
Cold until mid-month, then slowly improving temperatures
A cold start to 2021 and this cold weather is likely to be remaining into the middle of January. Whilst there are no indications of widespread, disruptive snow, ice and frost may be a problem at times. Temperatues are hinting at lifting into the second half of the month, still dry weather though with overnight frost and fog.
*9/1/21 - 15/1/21* Remaining cold. E to NE winds. Risk of snow at times, mainly east and south.
*16/1/21 - 22/1/21* Cold again. Perhaps drier. Frosty north. Mixed south.
*23/1/21 - 29/1/21* Higher pressure may build. Cold and frosty. Perhaps some milder days then less cold.
*30/1/21 - 5/2/21* Higher pressure remains. Probably milder. Some overnight fog and frost. Drier overall.
