A hot start to the month then a cooler more mixed second half

July is likely to be a month of two halves (sorry for the World Cup analogy!). It does seem that the month starts very warm and mostly dry, except a few isolated thunderstorms. Probably less hot in mid month but still mostly dry. After mid-month there are hints of some mor mixed weather with rain at times. Cooler too and breeze. Southern areas may not see much rain, most confined to the north.

*3/7/18 - 9/7/18*
Very warm with high pressure to the north. Low to the south may bring some isolated thundery showers here. Showers fade later.

*10/7/18 - 16/7/18*
Dry and less warm. More westerly flow. Decent spells of sunshine. May be some rain in far northwest Ireland and northwest Scotland.

*17/7/18 - 23/7/18*
Fair start with warm temperatres. Tendency towards more unsettled weather. Periods of rain later, first in north and then spreads south.

*24/7/18 - 31/7/18*
More mixed end to the month. More westerly flow could bring rain. Uncertain as to how much rain in south. Rain affecting Scotland and northern Ireland at times. Generally more unsettled, breezy.
