Low pressure over the Tyrrhenian Sea brings heavy rain to Italy

Thursday
Rain over the far northwest of Spain on Wednesday. Fair for the rest of Spain and Portugal with more sunshine. Staying fair across much of the central Mediterranean and Italy. Some rain in the far south of Italy with showers for Sicily. Heavy rain in western Greece, thundery showers in eastern Greece which spread into southwest Turkey. Dry with plenty of sunshine elsewhere in Turkey.
A band of rain clears southeast over southern France through the morning with showers developing to the northwest. Dry and fair in between for central France. Mostly cloudy with bands of patchy rain spreading southeastward over the Low Countries, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.Rain arrives later over Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia after a dry and bright start.
Breezy with outbreaks of rain and sleet for Denmark and southern Sweden, a risk of gales. Further wind and some rain in the Baltic States. Windy with dry weather for Finland. Some patchy rain in central Sweden. Norway will have some heavy rain in the south, snow affects northern areas. Coastal gales here too.

A mostly dry and sunny day for Portugal and Spain though showers may affect the far southeast of Spain and the Balearic Islands. An area of low pressure develops to the west of northern Italy bringing gusty winds and heavy outbreaks of rain to Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and Sicily. Mostly dry and sunny for Greece and western Turkey. Cloudier over eastern Turkey with outbreaks of rain here.
A dry and fair day for France, brightening later. Mostly cloudy for the Low Countries with patchy rain affecting North Sea coasts. Mostly fine and sunny for Germany, Poland and The Czech Republic though wintry showers affect northern areas and higher ground in the south. Early snowfall over Switzerland and Austria eases to leave a dry and sunny day.
Cold and breezy for Denmark, Norway and Sweden with sunny spells and wintry showers. Winds and showers ease later. Cloudy for Finland with scattered wintry showers. Brighter for the Baltic States but with frequent wintry showers here too.
