Rain north and east, but fair to the south and west


Christmas Eve
A fair Christmas Eve over most of Spain and Portugal, although some rain affects northwest Spain. The Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia will all be fine too. A fair day in Italy although some morning fog patches. Greece will be breezy but fair, although heavy rain,s sleet and snow affect Turkey.
Windy again in France with some rain in the east, better in the west. Further rain through the Low Countries and Germany. Poland may be fair for a time, but then showers here later. Hungary will have some rain and sleet in the east, otherwise dry. Austria and Switzerland will have patchy rai and showers.
Rain for Denmark and rather cloudy here. Murky in the Baltic States with some drizzle. Foggy at times in Finland and much of Sweden. Showers in southwest Norway but mostly dry to the north.


Christmas Day
Fair again over most of Spain and POrtugal today. Plenty of sunshine and staying fair. Sunshine in the Balearics too as well as in Corsica and Sardinia. Italy will be fair, again with plenty of sunshine. Greece stays dry and fair throughout. Some heavy showers in Turkey, thundery at times.
Some morning mist in France, although cloud and rain in the east, The Low Countries and Germany will have cloud and some showery rain. Further showers in western Poland, drier in the east. Hungary will be dry with sunny spells, but heavy rain affects Austria and Switzerland.
Fair in Denmark and cool too. More cool conditions in the Baltic States, but some snow showers for Father Christmas in Finland and Lapland. Scattered showers affecting parts of Norway where it will be a cooler day too.
