Unsettled in central and northern Europe, better in the Mediterranean


Wednesday
Rain along northern coasts of Spain. Some showers in the far south, but dry overall with good spells of sunshine. Rain in Corsica with some heavy, thundery rain in northern Italy. Greece should be dry with sunny spells, but some showers in central and eastern Turkey.
Windy and wet in France, some of these heavy in the north and west. Further heavy periods of rain and showers with some thunderstorms in the Low Countries and the west of Germany. The eastern parts of Germany should be mostly dry, although some rain reaching western Poland. Fair for Hungary with sunny spells. Some showers in western Austria and heavy, thundery showers for Switzerland.
Wind, cloud and some rain in Denmark. The Baltic States will be dry and breezy. Cloud and rain in Finland as well as in southern Sweden, but snow to the north. Further cloud and outbreaks of rasi in southern Norway.Dry in central and northern areas.

Thursday
Heavy rain in northern Portugal and northern Spain. Fair in the Balearics with a few showers in western Corsica and western Sardinia. There will be further showers in central and southern Italy. Heavy showers for the west of Greece as well as western Turkey. More eastern parts of Greece as well as central and eastern Turkey will be dry.
Showers through France, some of them heavy. There will be further showers in the Low Countries as well as northern Germany. The showers will be heavy at times. Fewer showers in the south and east of Germany. Poland will have sunny spells and should be dry. Hungary will be dry whilst there will be some showers in Austria and Switzerland.
Low pressure brings unsettled weather to Sweden, southern Norway, the Baltic States and Finland. Western and northern Norway will be chilly but should be mostly dry.
