High pressure brings settled conditions to many in central Europe
Patchy outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow persist across northern and eastern Spain while a few showers develop along the southern coast. Largely dry and fine elsewhere and for Portugal. Outbreaks of rain for the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and much of Italy. Tending drier to the far north of Italy (where it will also be bright) and to the far south and over Sicily where it will be cloudier. Rain, which may be locally heavy, clears north from Greece and Turkey to leave a dry day here. A few showers may linger along northern coasts.
A largely dry and fine day for much of mainland Europe. High pressure leads to the risk of some early mist and fog patches while there will be variable amounts of cloud around. This applies to France, the Low Countries, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. Some patchy snow may creep into far southern parts of Austria and Hungary later while isolated showers may develop along North Sea coasts of the Netherlands and Germany.
Winds pick up over Scandinavia and bands of rain, sleet and snow edge from west to east over Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and, later, into the Baltic States.
Lingering outbreaks of rain tend to clear south from Spain, the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Sardinia to leave a dry and fine end to the day here. Dry and bright all day for Portugal. Patchy, light rain and snow longers over central Italy and the Balkans but far northern and southern parts of Italy stay dry and bright. Heavy rain spreads into western and northern Greece and, later, into northern Turkey. Otherwise dry here but cloudy.
Much of central Europe stays dry and fine into Monday. Cloudier over northern France, the Low Countries, northern Germany and northern Poland with patchy outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow. Dry and fine for southern France, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, southern Germany, southern Poland and Slovakia.
Low pressure west of Norway brings a wet and windy day to Denmark, southern Sweden and southern Finland. Rain turns to snow over Sweden and Finland. Generally a cloudy day over northern portions of Norway, Sweden and Finland with patchy snowfall here. A mostly cloudy day for the Baltic States with one band of snow clearing east through the morning and another arriving from the Baltic Sea later in the afternoon.
