Severe storms move into southern France & northern Italy
A small area of low pressure is located near the Balearics. Rain clearing eastern areas of Spain but more rain pushing in to the far northwest of Spain and Portugal later. Largely dry and fine for southern Spain. Thundery, heavy showers pushing across the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia into southern France and northwest Italy. Largely dry elsewhere across Italy and Sicily. Dry and fine for Greece and Turkey.
Spells of heavy rain across eastern parts of France and Switzerland. Showery rain pushing in to the northwest of France as well as the Low Countries by afternoon. Largely dry across Germany and Austria. A few scattered showers to affect Slovenia but largely dry and very warm for the Balkan States and eastern Europe.
Low pressure to the west of Norway and high pressure over Russia produces a strong southerly wind across Scandinavia. Some patchy rain for Norway, wettest toward the southwest. Some rain around Baltic coasts, but largely dry inland across Sweden and Finland. Dry and warm for the Baltic States. Mostly dry for Denmark although cloud will increase and patchy rain may push into the far west later.
Torrential thunderstorms move across northern Italy into the southern Alps overnight into Tuesday, also affecting the far southeast of France. Thundery rain will continue into the daytime for Alpine regions and down the spine of Italy.
Showery for northern Spain, but central and southern Spain and Portugal will be generally dry and warm. Fine for the Balearics. Some showers for Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily. Rain for Slovenia moves into Croatia, but much of the Balkan states will be dry. Warm sunshine for Greece, the Aegean sea and western Turkey. Much of eastern Europe is dry and warm with a southerly breeze.
Low pressure over northwest Europe brings rain then showers to France. Heavy rain spreads across the Low Countries, whilst some bursts of thundery rain drift north over Germany. Rain also affects southern Norway, Denmark and southern Sweden. Northern Sweden and the Baltic should stay dry, but some patchy rain is possible in Finland.
