Tuesday
The western Mediterranean sees clusters of thunderstorms, with a risk of local flooding. Dry with sunshine for much of Spain, Portugal and France. Local showers along Mediterranean coasts, 20 to 23C. Thundery rain around coasts of Italy too, but mainly dry for the Adriatic.
Fair and warm for central Europe. Temperatures into the 20s for Germany and the Low Countries, although some early fog patches are possible. Chance of an isolated shower for central Germany. High pressure remains across eastern Europe, maintaining fair weather. Warm around the Black Sea and for Greece , 22 to 25C.
Scandinavia will be generally dry and mild, warmest in southern Sweden where 18C. Cloudy with a little rain for central Finland, but fading. A few showers for northern Norway.


Wednesday
A frontal system lies off the west coast of France and influences north-west Spain, bringing a risk of some heavy rain locally. Showers for central France. Thundery conditions in the western Mediterranean, with torrential downpours for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia. Heavy bursts also affect mainland Italy. Much of southern Spain and Portugal will be dry and warm, up to 25C.
Generally warm for central Europe, widely into the low 20s Celsius for Germany, the Low Countries and Alps. Dry with some low level fog possible in the morning. High pressure lies toward Russia, keeping eastern Europe dry and warm. Reaching 25C in Romania and Hungary. Dry for Greece too. Quiet weather for southern Scandinavia and the Baltic coasts. A southwesterly breeze affects Norway with some rain in the north.
