Fine and warm eastern Europe, rain to the west


Wednesday
Rain affects much of Spain and Portugal, with widespread thunderstorms for east & central Spain. Scattered thunderstorms will spread into south-western France, with some patchy rain for Brittany. Eastern France stays dry and warm, 19 to 23C.
Settled weather continues for central and eastern Europe, with early fog patches giving way to extensive sunshine. Around 20C in Germany, Poland and the Alps. Warmest temperatures will be in south-eastern Europe, over 25C in parts of Hungary, Romania and Greece. Dry and sunny for much of the Mediterranean too.
A chilly north-westerly breeze across northern Scandinavia brings snow showers to western Norway. Lighter winds for southern Norway. Fairly cloudy but mainly dry for southern Sweden and Denmark.


Thursday
Rain in northwest Spain on Thursday. Most of the rest of Spain and Portugal should be fine with sunshine. Rain affects the Balearics and this slipsinto Corsica and Sardinia. Italy is likely to be fine with good spells of sunshine. Greece and Turkey will be warm with lots of sunshine here.
France is likely to be seeing some rain and a few showers, the more persistent rain in the west. The Low Countries and northern germany will be cloudier with the risk of some rain. Southern and eastern Germany should be dry with sunny spells, whilst fair weather persists int Poland. Austria. Hungary and Switzerland should be mostly dry with sunny spells.
Cloud and outbreaks of rain in Denmark and southern Sweden. More rain and cloud in the south of Norway. The rest of Sweden and Norway should be dry with sunny spells. More sunshine in the baltic States and Finland too.
