Today
A colder day across much of Europe. The weather looks settled and dry with sunny spells across Portugal,Spain, France and Most of Germany too Germany. After a dry morning some rain reaches Belgium and The Netherlands in the afternoon. Gales persist in the central Mediterranean and southern France. Heavy rain is expected across Italy and the Adriatic Region with frequent, heavy, blustery showers from the Balearics into Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily to Greece. It remains fine and rain across Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania. Lots of cold but dry weather is expected across most of Poland, Austria, Hungary and Belarus. Outbreaks of snow are forecast across Norway, much of Swedenaway from the far south with snow flurries across Finland while heavy snow falls across northern Russia.


Wednesday
Unsettled weather continues through much of the Med, particularly through central areas with further showers, longer spells of rain and possible thunderstorms too across Italy and some surrounding countries. High pressure extends across much of France, into Central and Eastern areas of Europe too bringing mainly dry but chilly weather overnight frost possible. A more unsettled W'ly weather type dominates across Scandinavia with some rain and showers here, along with wintry precipitation too across more northern areas of Norway and Sweden for example.
