A chilly air mass spreads over northern Europe bringing frequent showers
Heavy, sometimes thundery, outbreaks of rain spread to all parts of Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands and Italy on Monday. Perhaps staying dry but cloudy to the far south of Italy. Rain eases from southwest Iberia later. Dry with patchy cloud for Greece. Dry and bright for Turkey.
A band of heavy, sometimes thundery, rain spreads across France and the Low Countries. Heaviest over southern France. This is followed by brighter conditions and frequent showers. Showery outbreaks of rain for Germany and the Czech Republic. Early heavy rain over eastern Poland clears to leave a fair day across the country. After a dry start, a band of heavy rain and snow spreads eastward across Switzerland and Austria.
A mixed day for Denmark with bright spells and scattered showers. A dry start for the Baltic States but rain arrives from the south later spreading north. Showery conditions for Scandinivia with broken bands of rain, sleet and snow spreading northward over Norway, Sweden and Finland.
Outbreaks of showery rain, sometimes heavy, for northern parts of Spain and the far north of Portugal. Dry with variable amounts of cloud for central and southern regions. Heavy bursts of rain ease for Italy leaving brighter, showery conditions. Cloud builds over Greece with heavy rain arriving to the far west later. Dry and bright again for Turkey.
After a bright start a band of showery rain spreads across France from the west. The Low Countries and Germany also see a bright beginning to the day with scattered, sometimes wintry, showers spreading from the west across the region. Mostly cloudy with wintry showers easing over Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. Cloudy with outbreaks of rain for eastern Poland, drier and brighter to the west.
A showery day for Denmark and the southern half of Sweden - showers become increasingly wintry further north. Bands of rain sweep northward over the Baltic States and into southern Finland where they turn to snow. Scattered wintry showers affect southeastern Norway while it stays dry and bright to the west and north.
