Gales and rain in northern Europe, fair with lighter winds to the south


Tuesday
Dry for Spain, Portugal and the western Mediterranean. A few showers for Sicily and southern Greece. Dry for Italy, the Balkans and Black Sea coasts in Romania and Bulgaria.
A mild southwesterly flow influences France, the Low Countries and Germany. A little rain or drizzle occasionally. Some showery rain for Switzerland, whilst Austria is largely dry. Eastern Europe looks generally dry beneath a ridge of high pressure.
Mild southerly winds for Scandinavia, with rain spreading north across Norway and Sweden. Drier for Finland and the Baltic states.


Wednesday
Fine through much of Spain and Portugal with lots of sunshine. Rain in the far northwest of Spain. The Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia will be fair with lots of sunshine. Staying fine through Italy, a few showers over the far north of Italy. Greece and Turkey will be dry with lots of sunshine.
Wind, rain and unsettled weather in France today. There wil be gales affecting the Low Countries and Germany with rain and cloud here too. Windy too in Poland with plenty of cloud and brief bright spells. Further bright spells in Hungary and Austria whilst cloud and outbreaks of rain affects Switzerland.
Rain in Denmark, some of it heavy. Widespread gales for the Baltic States. Heavy rain in Finland and windy here too. More wind and rain across the far south of Seeden, better in central and northern Sweden. Windy and cold with snow showers affecting much of western and northern Norway.
