Becoming windy across the far northwest

Thursday
Showers and rain moving south down Spain and Portugal, making it feel chilly here, with some heavy rain expected in the southern region by afternoon. Showery rain always pushing in on northern most areas of Spain. Cool conditions and showers at times also affecting the Balearic islands. Unsettled across Italy and the Balkans with rain and or heavy showers. Dry and sunny through Greece and Turkey.
Bands of showery rain and cool conditions pushing across France again. Some of the rain will be heavy. Largely dry for the Low Countries but some rain reaching coastal regions later. Mostly dry with sunny spells across Germany though the very far south will see some heavy rain. Showers across Austria and Switzerland. Largely dry and fine through eastern Europe.
Cloudy skies with showers and or longer spells of rain for Denmark and southern Sweden in the morning moving largely away and on into the Baltic Sea later affecting coastal areas of the Baltic states. Largely dry across Norway and Finland with just some light showers for northern Sweden.

Friday
A drier and brighter day across Spain and Portugal, feeling warmer too. Still heavy and thundery showers affecting the Balearics. Showers more widespread across Italy with more places staying dry. Heavy, thundery rain still across Croatia. Dry, fine and warm through Turkey and Greece.
A band of showery rain moves through southern and southeastern areas of France but clears in the afternoon. Winds strengthen in the north here with rain moving in to far northwest later. Winds strengthen also across the Low Countries but it should remain dry. Much of the rain across southern Germany should clear later. Scattered showers affect Austria and Switzerland. Heavy, thundery rain affects parts of Poland, Czechia and Hungary.
Strengthening winds across Denmark as well as Norway with rain moving in to southern areas of Norway and western parts of Denmark. Largely dry with sunny spells through Sweden and the Baltic states. Scattered showers across Finland.
