Cold Scandinavia with cool weather affecting the eastern Mediterranean too
High pressure remains over Iberia on Tuesday leading to a dry and fine day for Portugal, Spain, the Balearics, Sardinia, Corsica and western parts of Italy. There will be some showers for southern and western Italy and the Balkans but good sunny spells in between. Greece will start bright but cloud will build from the west through the day while southern parts of Turkey could see some thundery showers develop.
A cloudy, showery day for much of France with the heaviest showers in the east. Mainly bright and dry for the Low Countries and Germany after a band of rain clears to the south through the morning. Rain and snow for parts of Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic which will clear to the east through the afternoon. Rain will move eastward across Poland too. A dry and bright day for Denmark while the Baltics will be rather cloudy with some scattered showers. Snow and wintry showers across much of Scandinavia particularly along the western coasts of Norway and Finland.
Fair for most of Portugal and Spain on Wednesday. Plenty of sunshine but some morning mist and fog patches too. Fine for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia with lots of sunshine and dry weather too. Remaining dry in Italy although foggy at first, especially in the north. Cool in Greece with sunny spells, some wintry showers in Turkey.
Rain and wind in central and northern France, fair to the south with sunny spells. More rain and cloud in the Low Countries and much of Germany, but mild. Poland should be dry with sunny spells. Dry in Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Increasing cloud bringing wind and rain in the afternoon to Denmark. Rain in southern Sweden but dry for most of the country. The Baltic States will be fair, although soe snow later. Breezy with snow in Finland. air in southern Norway but snow in central and northern areas.
