A front moves into western Europe later, bringing heavy rain to north-western Spain and western France by evening, advancing east into the night. Patchy rain for Portugal. A cold front moves east into central Europe, bringing bursts of rain to Germany, and some snow for the Alps. Blustery west to southwesterly winds, possibly gusting gale force. Areas of showery rain affect southern France and Spain, but Portugal should be brighter. Another batch of rain reaches north-west Spain and western France later as further fronts move in from the Atlantic. Meanwhile, eastern Europe stays dry and mild, with sunshine in Greece , highs 16C. Unsettled across southern Scandinavia, with strong to gale force winds, heavy rain, or heavy snow in central Norway and Sweden. Snow also reaches Finland. Staying cold and dry in the far north.
