Friday 14/07/17 A ridge of high pressure builds from the west. Many places will be dry with sunny spells, best toward the south-west. A few showers possible, mainly northern and then eastern areas by afternoon. Fronts returning from the Atlantic bring rain to western parts of Scotland & Ireland by the end of the day. A fresh feel with a west to north-westerly breeze. Highs 15 to 22C, warmest south.
Saturday 15/07/17 High pressure to the south, and a broad south-westerly flow is expected across the British Isles. A slow-moving front brings a risk of persistent rain to Scotland, and perhaps Northern Ireland. Western coasts and hills elsewhere may be dull with drizzle, but much of England & Wales should escape dry. Quite breezy, best sunshine in east. Highs 15 to 18C north & west, a humid 22 to 25C south & east.
Sunday 16/07/17 A front is likely to slip slowly southwards, bringing continued rain to parts of Scotland and Ireland, although tending to fade. A few showers may follow from the north. Meanwhile, much of central & southern Britain should stay dry. Sunshine best in east. Dull in west, possible coastal fog south-west. Feeling humid. 16 to 19C north, but up to 23 to 27C south, warmest south-east.
Monday 17/07/17 Patchy rain may affect the south as a weakening front clears. Pressure then builds from the west. A dry day for many with sunny spells. A few showers for north-west Scotland. A north-westerly breeze, feeling fresher for many. Highs 16 to 20 north, 22 to 25C south.
Tuesday 18/07/17 High pressure is likely to build across the country, probably centred toward the south-west. Largely dry with plenty of sunshine. Light winds. Highs 18 to 23C.
Wednesday 19/07/17 Low confidence of detail, but settled weather may well continue. A few showers possible in Scotland if a westerly wind develops here. Highs 18 to 23C.
