Often windy

An unsettled week to come across Britain with Atlantic fronts and low pressure areas often bringing in spells of rain and gusty winds in from the west. Overall though it will be mild with temperatures above their seasonal average with Scotland colder at times.

Tuesday 28/02/17
Increasingly windy. Some sunshine around today along with a scattering of mainly light showers towards western locations. Breezy overnight with rain running in across south west England and Wales. Expect high temperatures of 6 to 8C.

Wednesday 01/03/17
Quite mild in the south with gales developing across England and Wales. Outbreaks of heavy rain in the south west spreads north through the day as it turns dry in the far south of England. Gales across eastern England in the evening moderate overnight and some rain may affect northern England. Highs of 5 to 11C.
 

Thursday 02/03/17
Mild for most and quite breezy. Some bright or sunny spells around today. Just a few showers in the north and the west. Heavy rain spills into Northern Ireland, Wales and the south of England in the evening and this spreads to all areas overnight becoming heavy. Highs of 7 to 11C.
 

Friday 03/03/17
Very mild with a good deal of cloud. Lots of dry weather about but some rain with snow over the Highlands may affect Scotland for a time as it turns colder here. An area of rain sweeps into Britain overnight. Highs of 8 to 12C.

 
 
 

Saturday 04/03/17
Temperatures remain above normal and it becomes windy for Saturday with spells rain clearing to afternoon showers. Most of these should be in the west and may be heavy. Highs of 6 to 10C.

Sunday 05/03/17
A wet and windy day with outbreaks of heavy rain in the south west spreading north into much of the county. Quite windy across western areas and along the channel coast. Expect highs of 6 to 19C.
