Rain and showers
Overall we expect an unsettled week to come with the jet stream running in across northern Britain. In the south conditions may become more mixed with a few drier days. Temperatures appear very warm on Tuesday and Wednesday, but overall they are likely to be closer to normal, but perhaps quite cool by Saturday.

Tuesday 22/08/17 Persistent outbreaks of rain to affect Northern Ireland and Scotland. Showers to affect northern England. Some sunshine to come in the far south. A very warm and more humid day with well above normal temperatures. Expect highs of 16 to 27C.
Wednesday 23/08/17 Another very warm day across England and Wales on Wednesday. Most of England and Wales looks fine with sunny spells. Scattered showers to affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. A dry evening and night to follow. Expect highs of 18 to 27C.
Thursday 24/08/17 Today temperatures drop closer to normal. Scattered showers to affect northern and western areas. Eastern parts to remain dry. A dry evening with rain into the west overnight. Look for highs of 17 to 22C.
Friday 25/08/17 It appears rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain in the west spreading to many areas in the afternoon. Heavy rain may affect England and Wales into the evening and night. Temperatures around normal. Expect highs of 15 to 21C.
Saturday 26/08/17 Saturday sees near normal temperatures inn the south, cooler in the north. It continues unsettled across Britain with heavy showers and longer spells of rain. Windy in the south. Expect highs of 14 to 20C.
Sunday 27/08/17 As a front moves in from the west, we may see an area of rain across western parts of the country spreading eastward through the day. This may be heavy across Scotland and Wales. Look for highs of 16 to 22C.
