A good deal of cloud

The beginning of this week will be more unsettled with rain and showers for many. Temperatures will be slightly above normal in the south. During Tuesday and into Wednesday pressure will be building in across the country as it turns more settled but a north east wind develops and drops temperatures to close to normal. The north east wind will also bring in a good deal of cloud.

Tuesday 18/10/16
It will be windy across Scotland and cooler across the country with below normal temperatures away from the south. Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and occasional showers. These clear cleaving a dry night. Expect high temperatures of 10 to 15C.

Wednesday 19/10/16
A ridge of high pressure gives mostly dry, but fairly cloudy conditions to Britain. Expect a good deal of cloud with sunnier spells for the west. Brisk north west winds will also make it a much cooler day. Dry overnight. Highs of 12 to 14C.

 
 
 

Thursday 20/10/16
Apart from the odd shower in the south east, most places will be dry as a brisk north east wind develops. Best of the sunshine may be across Scotland and western Britain. Milder in the south, still chilly in the north and east. Highs of 11 to 15C.

 
 
 

Friday 21/10/16
A keen north east wind brings scattered showers to East Anglia and the south east along with a good deal of cloud to England and Wales. Dry elsewhere with sunny spells across Scotland. Feeling chilly in the wind, especially in the east. Highs of 10 to 15C.

 
 
 

Saturday 22/10/16
The start of the weekend looks mostly cloudy for many with a few scattered showers. Drier and brighter to the west. Generally staying cool. Highs of 10 to 14C.

Sunday 23/10/16
We may see an area of rain slowly reaching Northern Ireland and Cornwall late in the day. Fair and dry for most other areas with lots of cloud. Expect highs of 10 to 15C.
