Colder for all

Issued: 0900 Monday 6th February 2017
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Becoming colder as the easterly winds return

A change in weather again this week as the jet stream which has brought more unsettled weather in recent days, weakens again as high pressur builds to the east. This is going to allow colder air fromt Europe to flood back westwards through the UK and Ireland. It wil be feeling cold for all, especially in that easterly wind. Eastern coasts are likely to be cloudy at times with some drizzle and snow flurries, and for many there will be a fair amount of cloud.
