Hot and humid mid week

Overall weather conditions will be quite mixed for this upcoming week. Best of the weather is likely early in the week overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday an area of low pressure brings hot and humid conditions up from the south as well as a risk of heavy, thundery showers. Temperatures are generally expected to be above normal.

Tuesday 18/07/17
Increasingly warm and humid today. Lots of fine, sunny weather to come. In the afternoon there is a risk of showers across parts of Wales, Cornwall and Scotland. Overnight an area of heavy, thundery rain may spread up into England and Wales. A very warm and muggy night. Expect highs of 19 to 26C.

Wednesday 19/07/17
A hot and humid day to come. Heavy, thundery rain moves north affecting Scotland and Northern Ireland through the day. Some rain and showers to come across England and Wales but brighter and mainly dry across East Anglia and the south east. Mostly cloudy overnight with a few showers and some patchy rain. Expect highs of 18 to 29C.
 

Thursday 20/07/17
Fresher weather is expected today. A few, scattered showers may affect Scotland Northern Ireland and the south east. Dry for the rest of Britain with sunny spells. Cloudy overnight with rain in the north west. Clear and dry in the east. Look for highs of 16 to 23C.
 

Friday 21/07/17
Friday continues unsettled. Many areas start fair and dry but showers across the west in the morning may become more widespread across Britain in the afternoon. Some areas will stay dry. South west England may see some light rain overnight, otherwise dry for most places. Expect highs of 15 to 22C.
 

Saturday 22/07/17
Pleasantly warm across Britain. An area of persistent rain to affect Scotland and Northern Ireland. Occasional showers develop across England and Wales, most of these in the west with eastern areas mainly fair and dry. Expect highs of 17 to 23C.

Sunday 23/07/17
With an area of high pressure ridging in from the west, much of the United should have a more settled, dry day with the best of the sunshine away from western coasts. Later some rain may reach north western parts of Scotland. Look for highs of 16 to 22C.
