Mild this week with cloud and drizzle in the west followed by a more mixed weekend

A mild few days ahead, perhaps very mild at times i the east. Western areas are always likely to be seeing more cloud and some drizzle. Tending to be drier in the east with some brighter spells. The weekend is more mixed with showery rai passing east, although turning drier again early next week.

Saturday 11/3/17
A cold front passing eastwards during Saturday. This takes periods of rain with it as a ridge of high pressure builds fro the west. The most persistent of any rain will be in Scotland, but this clears away quickly. Cloud and some showers in southeast England through the day but these will only be light. A ridge of high pressure builds from the west bringing dry weather and some bright or sunny periods. Highs at 10C in northern Scotland, 15C in southern England.


Sunday 12/3/17
A front and shallow area of low pressure brings a cooler day for Sunday with periods of showery rain passing east. The rain tending to be turning more showery into the afternoon. Showers fading towards the west and remaining breezy throughout the day. Highs at 7 to 12C.
 


Monday 13/3/17
A ridge of high pressure builds through the UK and Ireland on Monday. This brings a fair day with sunny spells for many eastern and southern areas. However, weak fronts could affect western areas bringing some cloud and patchy rain here, most of this in western Scotland. Highs at 10 to 14C.
 


Tuesday 14/3/17
Cloud and some spots of drizzle for Scotland and Ireland on Tuesday as a weak front edges eastwards. Drier and brighter to the south and east with sunny spells here. Mild to the south too. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 16C in southern England.


Wednesday 15/3/17
A ridge of high pressure builds over the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. This is going to be bringing fair weather with sunny spells, but stronger winds and thicker cloud and rain affecting western Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 9 to 14C.

Thursday 16/3/17
Perhaps turning more unsettled on Thursday as fronts pass eastwards. These brings rain followed by showers. It is likely to become cooler too. Highs at 8 to 12C.
