A mixed weekend but then improving next week

Unsettled conditions persist into the early stages of the weekend. rain on Saturday, most in the north and west but dry to the east and south. Pressure is going to be building across the UK and Ireland next week and this brings drier weather, warmer too. Western Scotland and western Ireland may have lower cloud and drizzle at times.

Sunday 11/6/17
Low pressure remains to the northwest of Scotland on Sunday. It will be breezy in the north and west with a fair amount of cloud and some showers here. More eastern and southern areas will be dry with broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells. The best of these in eastern England. Temperatures rising to 14 to 17C in the cloudier western areas, as high as 23C in any sunshine in the south and east.


Monday 12/6/17
Pressure builds across the south early next week, allowing the weather to become more settled than recent days. A mix of sunshine and scattered showers across Scotland, but most of Ireland, England and Wales will be drier and brighter. A low risk of showers in northwest England. The best of the sunshine in the south and east. Highs at 20C in southern England, 14C in northern Scotland.


Tuesday 13/6/17
A ridge of high pressure is likely to remain across most of the UK and southern Ireland on Tuesday. Showery rain and more cloud affecting western Scotland and western Ireland. Highs 15 to 22C.

 
 
 


Wednesday 14/6/17
A ridge of high pressure persists through Wednesday bringing sunny spells and dry weather for most. There will be weak fronts close to western Ireland and western Scotland and these may bring more cloud and some drizzle here. Highs at 23C in southeast England, 17C in northern Scotland and western Ireland.


Thursday 15/6/17
High pressure continues to dominate the weather. This brings dry conditions and lots of sunshine although some cloud and drizzle may again trouble northern Scotland. A warm day at 17 to 25C.

Friday 16/6/17
Pressure remains high across the UK and Ireland today. There will be plenty of dry weather with sunny spells. Lower cloud and some drizzle affeting western Scotland and western Ireland. Highs at 18 to 26C.
