Wednesday
A wet morning across much of England with some heavy bursts of rain across East Anglia, the Midlands, southern and southwest England as well as eastern Wales. Patchier rain in northeast England whilst the northwest should be dry. The rain band edges north and west through the day bringing a wet afternoon to much of northern England, Wales, the north and west Midlands and central and eastern Ireland. Becoming drier in East Anglia and the southeast. Scotland will have a dry day with the best of the sunshine in the west whilst eastern coasts will be cloudier. Feeling chill over eastern coasts of the UK and Ireland too. Highs at 21C in the drier weather in southeast England, 12C on eastern coasts and 13 to 16C elsewhere.


Wednesday Night
Overnight rain affects northern England, central and southern Ireland as well as western Wales and southwest England. Drier weather in the rest of southern England as well as East Anglia and the southeast. Rain arriving in southeast Scotland in the early hours with the rest of Scotland drier at first, but then spreading north into other areas. Windy in the north and east. Lows at 7 to 12C.


Thursday
Low pressure dominates the weather across the UK and extends into Poland on Thursday. Cloud and rain across Scotland and into Ireland, some of it heavy. It will be windy here too with the rain continuing into the afternoon. Drier elsewhere with bright or sunny spells at first. However, heavy and thundery showers will be developing across central and southern England as well as Wales through the afternoon and evening. Highs at 18 to 20C in central and southern England, 12 to 15C elsewhere.


Friday
Low pressure to the east of the country on Friday with a northerly flow affecting all areas. Showers and outbreaks of rain across eastern parts of Scotland and soe more persistent rain in central, eastern and southern England as a front clears south. Showers in western Wales and southwest England. Much of Ireland wil be dry but breezy with some sunny spells, although showers affecting the east. Highs at 12 to 19C.
