Wednesday
A band of thundery showers tracking north through north Wales and northern England on Wednesday morning, these showers heaviest and most persistent in central parts of Ireland. The thundery showers and rain slipping into parts of northwest England and southwest Scotland this afternoon before spreading into western Scotland as the afternoon progresses. More eastern and southern parts of England, Wales and Scotland will be seeing some scattered thundery showers, the heaviest of these across northern England, Wales and the Midlands later. Very warm and humid to the east but fresher in the west. Highs at 19 to 23C for most, but to 28C in East Anglia.


Wednesday Night
The thundery rain affects much of Scotland at first. Becoming drier in southern Scotland as the night moves on, but the north and east is likely to stay wet throughout. A band of showers, some thundery, crossing eastwards through England and Wales during the night, becoming ever more patchy. Drier weather following into the west. More rain reaching western Ireland later in the night. Lows at 8C in western areas, 15C in East Anglia and southeast England.


Thursday
A weak front affecting eastern England at first on Thursday morning, although this clears east fairly quickly. Further rain in northeast Scotland, some of it heavy at first, moving away from the mainland by lunchtime but continuing in Orkney and Shetland. Drier for most with a weak ridge of high pressure building allowing cloud to break and sunny spells to develop. More rain arrives with fronts in western Ireland this morning, this then spreading eastwards into western Scotland, the rest of Ireland and western Wales by the evening. An increasing breeze in Ireland with highs at 23C in southeast England, 17 to 20C elsewhere.


Friday
An area of low pressure slips into western Scotland on Friday. This brings fronts with it along with cloud and rain pushing eastwards, some of it heavy, especially in northern and western areas. Rather breezy, although this easing in the west as the rain clears to showers. The showers could be heavy in western areas with only a few bright or sunny spells. Highs at 22C in southeast England, 16 to 19C elsewhere.
