UK Forecast - February 16, 2017
Staying mild
Drizzly rain mainly west

Friday
A ridge of high pressure brings a dry and bright day to many areas - the best of any sun to the east & north-east of high ground. Early light rain and murk in central Britain will fade and clear. Generally cloudy and damp in the west of Britain, and much of Ireland, with hill fog and drizzly rain, particularly south-facing locations. Winds mostly light, but a fresh southerly breeze affects the Irish Sea. Mild, highs 10 to 13C.

Friday night
Weak fronts continue to affect western regions, bringing a lot of low cloud and outbreaks of rain or drizzle. The most persistent rain is likely to affect western Scotland. A fresh southerly breeze in the west, but light winds in central & south-eastern Britain, where some fog patches may form in low-lying areas. Temperatures between 3 and 8C, mildest in the west, coolest in rural central areas.

Saturday
High pressure remains to the south, whilst a weak frontal zone will affect western & northern Britain. Cloudy with patchy rain for Scotland and areas surrounding the Irish Sea - rain tending to drift south & east into northern England & Wales later. Dry and bright for the Midlands, south & south-east, with some sunshine. A south-westerly breeze, strongest in the north, but winds generally light in the south. Mild, highs 9 to 12C.

Sunday
A mild westerly flow influences the British Isles. Partly cloudy skies, but some sunshine, generally best in eastern regions. Dry for many places all day. Cloud will thicken from the west as a warm front moves in from the Atlantic. Drizzly rain develops around western coasts, where it becomes increasingly murky, and rain later turns persistent. A westerly breeze, strongest in the north. Mild for all, highs 10 to 13C.
