UK Forecast - May 05, 2017
Rain in southwest
Dry for most

Saturday
Rather cloudy across much of England and Wales as well as southern Ireland. There will be some patchy rain in the far south of Ireland as well as into the far southwest of England. Patchy drizzle may affect the high ground of central and southern England and Wales. The rain tending to fade into the afternoon and evening, although it may be dark before it becomes dry in the southwest. Most parts will be dry though, and this dry weather extends through Scotland and Northern Ireland too. The best sunshine on Saturday will be found in Scotland, especially the west. Highs to 20C in parts of southwest Scotland, more typically 13 to 17C elsewhere.

Saturday Night
Cloud increasing over eastern Scotland and eastern England overnight. Southern England and the far south of Ireland also have plenty of cloud, the risk of a few spots of rain here too. Elsewhere it is going to be a dry night with clear spells and temperatures falling to around 5 to 9C.

Sunday
Sunday sees a large area of high pressure centred to the north of Scotland. A ridge extends through the UK and Ireland bringing dry weather for nearly all areas. There will be some good spells of sunshine in the west and south. However an increased chance of some thicker cloud affecting eastern coasts of Scotland and northeast England through the day and this may be thick enough to produce a few spots of rain in the afternoon. Highs at 10C on cloudier eastern coasts, 19C in western Scotland and Ireland.

Monday
A ridge of high pressure continues to affect the UK and Ireland on Monday. The northeast flow continues to blow some cloud into eastern areas at first, extending from a large anticyclone northwest of Scotland. This cloud breaks and then all parts are likely to be dry with some good spells of sunshine. Feeling warm in the west but cool in the east. Highs at 13C in eastern areas but to 19C in the west.
