Wednesday
A fine day to come across much of Ireland, Scotland northern England and western Wales today. Plenty of sunshine in all these places and feeling warm in the west too, although cooler on eastern coasts thanks to the increasing northeast wind. Cloudier skies across East Anglia, southern and southeast England as well as the Midlands, coupled with a strengthening northeast wind will be making these areas dull and cold. Some showers affecting the southeast too in the afternoon with a few spots over higher ground in central and southern areas towards evening. Tops at just 10C on eastern coasts in that wind, 17C in the sunshine over sheltered western coasts.


Wednesday Night
Cloudy and breezy over much of eastern, central and southern England as well as eastern Wales and parts of eastern Scotland tonight. Bits of drizzle and patchy rain, mostly on the hills will last throughout the night. Clearer skies to the west and drier here too, although still breezy. Lows at 5 to 9C.
 


Thursday
A large area of high pressure remains to the north of Scotland on Thursday with a strong easterly flow affecting all parts of the UK and Ireland. Plenty of cloud across much of England and Wales as well as southern Ireland in the morning, producing some outbreaks of drizzle and patchy rain. Feeling cold here too in the wind with little changing into the afternoon. Much of Scotland, northwest England, western Wales and northern Ireland should be much brighter and drier with good spells of sunshine. This sunshine may edge south into parts of the Midlands, eastern Wales and southwest England in the afternoon. Tops at 11C on eastern coasts, 17C in sheltered western areas.


Friday
A similar situation on Friday with the high to the north and the low to the south. The fresh easterly flow persists bringing cloud across the southern half of the UK. There will be a few spots of rain here too. Northern England and Scotland as well as much of Ireland and western Wales together with parts of southwest England should have good spells fo sunshine and will be dry. A cool feel to the day again with highs at 11C on eastern coasts, 16C in the west.
