Another frosty start to the morning across southern Ireland, southwest England and the south of Wales. Cloudier skies to the north and west. There is the chance of a few spots of rain in northern and western Scotland, but elsewhere it is going to be dry. Cloud breaks over much of eastern England and Scotland this afternoon allowing for bright or sunny spells here. More sunny spells in Ireland with the best of the sunshine in the south of Wales and southwest England. Highs at 6 to 9C.


Thursday Night
Variable amounts of cloud through tonight. Most is likely to be in eastern areas of England as well as northern and western Scotland. A few spots of rain in northwest Scotland once again. Clearer skies in Ireland, Wales and southern England allowing for frost to become widespread here again. Lows at 2 to 4C in the cloudier sies in the north and east, -1 to -4C in the frost the south.


Friday
High pressure is going to be centred over the UK and Ireland on Friday. There could be some morning mist and fog patches with a frost in southern and western parts of England, Wales and Ireland. Variable cloud, most of it to the north and east. This is likely to be breaking with some bright or sunny spells coming through. The best of the sunshine is likely to be to the west and south. Highs at 5 to 7C.


Saturday
The area of high pressure remains over the country on Saturday. Cloud is likely to be broken in many areas but there will be some morning fog patches in the east. These lift and then most of the day is dry with bright spells, although always the risk of some spots of rain to the far west. Breezier conditions in Ireland and southwest England. Temperatures at a chilly 4 to 7C.
