Wednesday
A cloudy and murky day across much of southern Ireland, Wales and southern England. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most of it patchy but more persistent over windward facing coasts and hills. Drier across the far north of Wales, northern England and Northern Ireland. Breezy for Scotland with heavy showers in west, these falling as snow over the Highlands. Eastern parts of Scotland should be drier with some brighter spells here and only a few showers. Highs at a mild 12 or 13C in southern England, Wales and Ireland, but 8C in northern Scotland.


Wednesday Night
Cloud and outbreaks of rain remain in the far south of England tonight with plenty of mist and murk along coasts and hills. A band of showers passes through Scotland, Northern Ireland and parts of northwest England during the night. Drier elsewhere with cloud being broken. Lows near 5 to 10C.
 


Thursday
A warm front passing northwards through Ireland, Wales and western England bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle. More persistent rain in western Ireland with plenty of low cloud and fo affecting western coasts and hills too. Brighter in Scotland, northern, central and eastern England. Drier here too and mild. Temperatures rising to 9C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.


Friday
The moist, mild southwest flow persists across the UK and Ireland on Friday. The warm front through Scotland brings cloud, drizzle and outbreaks of rain here. Western coasts and hills are likely to have plenty of low cloud and fog too with outbreaks of drizzle. More eastern and central areas of England and Wales are likely to become drier and brighter with sunny spells coming through. Very mild here with tops of 17C in any sunshine, but more generally 12 to 15C.
