Tuesday
Plenty of cloud across the UK and Ireland today even though we are under high pressure. Some drizzle over high ground of northern England, Wales and southern and eastern Scotland. Some brighter weather in the far southeast with a frost at first. Brighter in the west of Ireland and the west of Scotland with some sunny spells poking through. This afternoon remains largely cloudy with further drizzle on western and northern hills. Sunny spells and cooler weather in southeast England. Some brightness breaking through in western Scotland and much of Ireland. Highs at a mild 11C in western Ireland, 7 to 10C across most of England and Wales, and 3C in the far southeast of England.


Tuesday Night
Rather cloudy and mild over much of northern England and the Midlands as well as Wales and southwest England. Drizzle affecting some hills. Clearer skies to the southeast allowing a frost to develop here. Further drizzle in western Scotland and the far west of Ireland. Tending to be drier in eastern parts of Ireland, eastern Scotland and eastern England. Lows at -2C in southeast England, more generally 2 to 5C.


Wednesday
High pressure is going to be centred to the east of the UK on Wednesday. The remnants of a front affecting southern and central parts of England with spots of drizzle here too. Another area of drizzle affecting the west of Ireland. Elsewhere cloud is going to be more broken with most of it tending to be remaining in western areas and the best sunny spells to the east. Staying mild north and west at 7 to 10C, but chillier in the south and east at 3 or 4C.


Thursday
Pressure stays high on Thursday. The bits of the front stay across East Anglia and central England as well as Wales and southern Ireland. Plenty of cloud here with some drizzle on the hills. The southwest flow bringing some cloud and outbreaks of rain to northwest Scotland. Elsewhere coud is likely to be breaking with a few bright spells coming through. A cooler day for some, but temperatures generally around average at 5 to 8C.
