UK Forecast - July 27, 2017
A wet afternoon in south
Scattered showers to north

Friday
A southwest breeze afecting all parts of the UK and Ireland through today. Heavy showers in western parts of Scotland, northwest England and the west and north of Ireland will tend to become confined to western Scotland this afternoon. Elsewhere it will be dry and bright to start today with some sunny spells. However thicker cloud and some rain will arrive in southern Ireland during the morning and into southwest England by lunchtime. The area of rain then passes through Wales and southern England as the afternoon progresses, this turning heavy over high ground in the west. The rain reaches eastern England during the evening. Tops at 17 to 23C.

Friday Night
A wet start to the night across East Anglia and the far south of England. The rain should clear from all but the far south of England by evening. Showers in western Scotland and the north and west of Ireland, although these rather well scattered. Dry for other areas with clearer skies. Lows at 8 to 12C.

Saturday
Low pressure is going to be centred to the west of Scotland on Saturday. It will be a showery day across Ireland and western Scotland as well as the west of Wales and northwest England. The showers could be heavy at times. More eastern and central areas are going to be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting the far south of England, these perhaps turning heavier again later. Highs at 17 to 23C.

Sunday
Low pressure remains to the west of Scotland on Sunday. Troughs surround the low bringing heavy showers through Ireland and western Scotland in the morning. These showers reaching western Wales, western England and western Scotland as the morning progresses whilst eastern areas will be drier and brighter to start the day. Heavier and more widespread showers develop through the morning and into the afternoon, these spreading east. It may be that the far south of England escapes most of the showers, although for many other areas they could be torrential. Highs at 16 to 23C.
