Heavy rain north and west, thundery showers in the east and south

Good morning,

A wet morning across much of northwest Wales, northern England and southern Scotland with some heavy and thundery bursts of rain here. The rain lasting into the early afternoon for much of northern England and southern Scotland although fading later on.
 


Thundery showers developing across central and eastern parts of England, some of these heavy at times. Rather cloudy for much of the rest of England and Wales witha few showers here and there. Ireland will be drier and brighter overall with some sunny spells although thundery showers forming in central and eastern areas.


Tonight sees cloud and rain over much of central and eastern England with a risk of an odd thunderstorm. Showers for Wales and southwest England. Tending to be drier for northern England, Scotland and Ireland although some rain affects eastern Scotland with further rain arriving through Yorkshire later in the night.
